Dr. Sumit Ranjan Basak is a highly skilled Specialist Dental Surgeon and Orthodontist with extensive experience in both clinical practice and academic dentistry. He completed his BDS from Dhaka Dental College in 2006, beginning a dedicated journey in delivering quality dental care across renowned clinics in Dhaka.
Driven by a passion for specialization, Dr. Basak underwent advanced training in Orthodontics as an Honorary Medical Officer at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) from 2008 to 2010. After successfully passing the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination, he joined government service in 2010 and served in multiple Upazila Health Complexes and district hospitals, earning recognition for his commitment to patient care and professionalism.
In 2021, he achieved FCPS in Orthodontics from Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS), further strengthening his expertise in the field. He is also a Fellow of the World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO, USA), reflecting his international professional standing.
Dr. Basak provides comprehensive dental care, including Scaling & Polishing, Root Canal Treatment, Crown & Bridge procedures, fillings, extractions, dental implants, and denture solutions. As an orthodontist, he specializes in braces and corrective treatments for misaligned teeth, spacing issues, and jaw irregularities—helping patients achieve both functional and aesthetically pleasing smiles.
Committed to continuous learning, he actively participates in national and international training programs, seminars, and symposiums to stay updated with the latest advancements in dentistry.
Currently, Dr. Sumit Ranjan Basak serves as an Assistant Professor of Orthodontics at Dhaka Dental College, where he contributes to shaping future dental professionals while continuing to provide high-quality patient care.
